I want to share with you my recent trip to Tops because I want you to see how important shopping sales and using coupons on the sale items are. If you are new to couponing and feeling overwhelmed I used all printable coupons for this trip and you can find all the deals in my match ups here. Just print and bring to the store. Use your coupons as your grocery list!
70% is a killer amount!
My total before savings: 102.83- That means if I just went to Tops and bought all of this stuff not on sale I would have paid $100! That makes me almost pass out. It is our job to educate those that do this how much money they can save!
I bought 24 items and paid $34.04 and earned 152 gas points which gives me right now $0.10/gallon of gas to use.
Just my coupon total was $14.80
2 Organic Full Circle Tortilla Chips- Paid FREE
3 Organic Pops- Paid $4.50 – This was unexpected but they are normally $5.99 and on clearance than I used the $2 off a $10 Tops Organic Purchase coupon.
4- Guacamole’s- Paid $2.58 or $0.65 each. Used 2 $1/1 printable coupons here
2- Guacamole’s- Paid $$2.29 or $1.15 each- Used the $0.50/1 printable here
1- 3 lb. bag of Gala Apples $3.99
4.63 lbs. of Fresh Chicken Breasts- Paid $9.21 or $1.99/lb.
2- Keebler Fudge Stripe Red Velvet Cookies- Paid- $1.20 or $0.60 each- Used 2 $0.70/1 printable coupons here
3- Philly Cream Cheese- Paid $2 or $0.67 each- Used 3 $0.50/1 printable coupons here(NLA that was a quick one)
1- Top 32 oz.Strawberry Yogurt Paid $2.69
1- So Delicious Coconut Hazelnut Creamer-Paid $1- Used the $1/1 printable coupon here
2- Del monte No Sugar Added Fruit Cups- Paid $1.58 or $0.79 each- Used 2 $0.75/1 printable coupons here
2- Town House Crackers– Paid FREE! Used 2 $1/1 printable coupons here ( requires 850 pts each) Used 2 Dollar Doublers
I earned 152 gas points so if you figure in gas savings at $3 on 30 gallons which is maximum you can take that’s $3.
So $31.04 or $1.30 an item!!

To calculate your savings from a trip:
- Subtract your Total out of pocket cost from the before savings cost (original price). This equals the $ amount saved.
- Divide the amount saved by the original price. Move the decimal over two spaces= your savings percentage!
