When my husband brings this up to me I realize I better take a second look. I have bought Starkist Tuna in the past 4 years. Who hasn’t? Apparently like many other companies it has been brought to everyone’s attention that they have been filling their product with extra water. You can read more details on the lawsuit here.
So how do you claim your money?
If you purchased select Starkist products between February 19, 2009 through October 31, 2014: one or more 5 oz. can of Chunk Light Tuna in Water, one or more 5 oz. can of Chunk Light Tuna in Oil, one or more 5 oz. can of Solid White Tuna in Water, or one or more 5 oz. can of Solid White Tuna in Oil (collectively, the “StarKist Products”). You may submit a claim for either: a cash payment of $25, or $50 in product vouchers redeemable for free StarKist tuna products.
Remember that stock up we had on Starkist Tuna at Tops awhile back? Yep that’s when I bought mine. Anyways I went for the $50 in Tuna, you know why? I’ll be buying Tuna again. It’s usually the store brand which is probably Starkist anyways so I’ll take the larger amount- Thanks! 🙂
