For years I have bought 99% of our meat cuts at Aldi. When my husband and I started shopping at Costco, we were intrigued by the meat department. So I had to put together an Aldi Vs. Costco Meat price edition.
I admit, the Costco meat department is pretty impressive. You can get all the typical as well as some unique cuts of meat.
As moms sticking to a strict grocery budget, we tend to stick with chicken, ground beef, and roasts. I tend to plan meals where the meat can stretch, and we will have leftovers.
There is nothing better than walking into the meat department and seeing those sale stickers. So, get yourself a deep freezer and stock up on the sales. But, what about without sales?
The question today is…who has the best prices on meat Aldi or Costco?
Let’s get to the Aldi Vs. Costco- Who has the best meat prices?
You can easily see the lowest price in BOLD.

The comparisons you see today are all regular pricing. While you sometimes see markdowns at Aldi, they are not typical. Costco routinely will have select cuts of meat on significant special. On our last trip, we snagged 4 T-bone steaks at 50% off!
I am impressed today with Aldi and its prices.
Will these price comparisons make you think twice about where to pick up your meat next shopping trip?

I e been shopping at both Aldi’s and Costco for years . Personally I think the quality of the meat at Costco is better , fresh. I know that at Aldi’s I have seen meat put out and it’s frozen and sits in the case and thaws. So if you are buying a large package and think you will just go ahead and freeze what you aren’t using, not good as it was already frozen.

Thanks for the tips Debbie 🙂
