Bibigo Beef Bulgogi Mandu Air Fryer Review

If you’re a fan of Korean cuisine, you’ll want to check out Bibigo’s Beef Bulgogi Mandu from Costco. These savory dumplings are filled with tender beef and vegetables, and they’re perfect for a quick snack or a light meal.

They’re also freezer-friendly, so you can stock up on them whenever you find a good deal.

I’ve been trying to resist the urge of throwing everything I can in my new air fryer, and these Bibigo Beef Bulgogi Mandu are one of my favorites that you can grab at Costco for $12.49.

Bibigo Makes Great Frozen Appetizers

I’ve tried their wontons and dumplings, and now these potsticker style Beef Bulgogi Mandu are my favorite so far. They come frozen in a 48oz bag that somehow disappears rather quickly.

The nice thing about these is that they are fully cooked and can be prepared via pan, steamed, or an air fryer. In addition, they are stuffed with a 78% fill ratio, with delicious USDA beef inside.

They are high in protein, with about 15g per serving.

Pan Fry, Steamed, or Air Fry

I’ve tried all three. Steamed, they are perfect if you want a softshell, but I’m a fan of getting those ridges nice and crispy. So, I tried the Pan fry method with their recommended directions on the back of the bag.

They were good, and the smell was like an authentic bulgogi dish. Just use about a tsp or so of oil and drop them in the pan; as they cook, you’ll rotate them on each side, ensuring a nice golden-brown shell.

Then I got curious, it doesn’t say you can air fry them, but that doesn’t mean you can’t.

So, you know what I had to do.

This is my air fryer, and the Dash 2qt Compact version is often about $50. I love it; it’s easy to clean and offers enough space for two people. We shared our favorite Air Fryers that are available at Costco.

This Dash Compact is omitted, but I recommend the Ninja Air Fryer if you’re in the market. There have been times I’d throw something in the basket, and while I’m eating it, I throw another one in.

It’s a nice rotation, usually given its size. This Air Fryer fits a serving of 4 Beef Bulgogi Mandu perfectly. You can opt to lightly glaze them in sesame or vegetable oil or leave them as is.

I set mine for 350˚ and let the Mandu fry for about 7 or 8 minutes. You’ll want to flip them about halfway through.

They should get a nice golden tan. Also, because we’re air frying them, they are a lot less oily.

So, the shell might look dry or even freezer burnt, but they are fine, and remember, these are fully cooked, so it’s really up to you how you’d like them.

I go for a semi crisp. I want to pair these with a sweet and sour dip or sometimes just plain ol’ soy sauce.

They are great on their own or alongside sticky white rice.

Savor the Flavor

These taste great! They have a nice deep beef flavor from the high-quality beef used. Lots of umami to make your taste buds happy. Members of the blog and Facebook group had some high praise for these Bulgogi Mandu and the Bibigo products at Costco.

The wrap is nice and thin, and has plenty of beef inside. The filling is mainly ground beef with garlic, soy sauce, onion, ginger, green onion, and a slight smoke flavor.

If you’re a member of Costco, you should have no issue finding these or other Bibigo products. However, you’ll likely find them at HEB or CVS if you’re in the Texas region.
