FRIDAY 6/12
- The Elba Central School’s Drama Club will hold a fundraiser entitled “Music for Michael” from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the school. The evening includes a spaghetti dinner, a musical production of “Henny Penny” at 7 p.m., and a mega game of musical chairs to follow in the Sherwood gymnasium. Michael Pfendler is an ECS senior who was recently diagnosed with cancer and is now in treatment. He has been on the stage/tech crew for several years for the annual musicals.
- American Red Cross Blood Drive – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 12 at the Veterans Administration Center, 222 Richmond Ave., Batavia. Donors of all blood types – especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative – are needed. - Jackson Square Concert Series at 7 p.m. each Friday at Jackson Square, between Jackson and Center streets. The rain location is City Centre, Main St. This week’s performance is the Genesee Symphony Orchestra. For more information, visit www.downtownbataviany.com.
- Genesee Country Farmer’s Market at Batavia Downs. 8 am.- 5 p.m.
SATURDAY 6/13
- Suzanne Oliver, co-author of “The Faith Club: A Muslim, A Christian, A Jew — Three Women Search for Understanding,” will discuss her book during an author talk at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at St. James Episcopal Church. Oliver co-wrote the book with Ranya Idliby and Priscilla Warner. Synopsis: When an American Muslim woman befriends two other mothers, one Jewish and one Christian, they decide to educate their children about their respective religions. None of them guessed that their regular meetings would provide life-changing answers and form bonds that would forever alter their struggles with prejudice, fear, and anger.
- Batavia Lions Club Annual Bicycle Tour/Fundraiser – Registration begins at 7 to 7:45 a.m. – 50 miles and 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. – 25 miles, June 13, behind the Polish Falcons, 123 South Swan St., Batavia. Two routes: one if 25 ,miles and the other 50 miles. Pre-register cost is $30 for adults before May 14. After May 14, the cost for adults is $35, $15 for children ages 16 and under. - 26th Annual Bergen Park Festival – 11 a.m. June 13 at the Bergen Town Park. Car cruise in, pony rides, disc golf, parade at noon, music, Bergen Idol at 3 p.m. and Blue Jimmy at 6 p.m. till fireworks.
- Jake Miller will play the second of three free in-park concerts at 6 p.m. in the Ride of Steel Plaza at Darien Lake Amusement Park. The concert is free with park admission. For more information, visit www.darienlake.com/concerts.

SUNDAY 6/14
- The Knights of Columbus will hold an “All You Can Eat Breakfast” – 8 a.m. to noon, June 14 at the K of C Hall located behind the Save-a-Lot at 15 West Main Street in Le Roy. Breakfast is $6 for adults, $3 for children 6-12 years (children under 6 eat for free). Breakfast includes: eggs, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, fruit, coffee, tea, and orange juice. Proceeds to be donated to a local charity.
