- FREE Movies in the Park. Oakfield. The Oakfield Betterment Committee presents free “themed” movie nights every other Friday throughout the summer at 8:30 p.m. at Oakfield Town Park. - Second Annual Fishing Contest – 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 27 at DeWitt Park, Cedar St., Batavia. Sponsored by the Oakfield-Alabama Lions Club. Contest open for all kids 16 and under. All children registered will be eligible to win one of many prizes. A special prize will be given for the biggest fish. Hot dogs, drinks, candy will be available for sale. Call Ed at 948-8684.
- Richmond Memorial Library hosts Defiant Monkey, an acting troupe, at 11 a.m. Students will see with suggestions come to life in improvised scenes illustrating the use of teamwork between improvisers. Student volunteers will be brought on stage to perform in improvisational games that use several performers. The aspects of working well as a team will follow students throughout their lives, wherever they may go. Assembly performances can be tailored to suit all ages, but workshops of this program are most appropriate for grades 4-12.

Shawn Mendes will play the final of three free in-park concerts at 6 p.m. in the Ride of Steel Plaza at Darien Lake Amusement Park. The concert is free with park admission. For more information, visit www.darienlake.com/concerts.
