- About Time- Batavia Players will present their production of “About Time” at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17-19 at Harvester 56 Theater. It is Tom Cole’s off-Broadway play about the relationship of aged couples. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students/seniors and are available through www.showtix4you.com. - Attica author Rob Thompson will sign copies of his books “Notorious” and “The Linden Murders…Solved” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Coffee Culture.

- Career day for High school students interested in pursuing a degree or career in an environmental arena, are encouraged to attend a career day at Beaver Meadow Audubon Center. Starting at 10 a.m., experts in the field will gather at the unique nature preserve to showcase their work up close and hands-on. A variety of sectors will be represented. The event is free. - Genesee County Fish and Game Protective Assoc. Inc., Hunting and Fishing Days Event. Open to the Public. Outdoor Sporting activities, vendors and exhibits to enjoy for the family. 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
- Darien Lake Amusement Park will roll out a brand new fall attraction, Harvest Fest, for the remainder of the 2015 season. The park will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. the final two weekends in September. Included with park admission is a hayride, haymazing adventure, pumpkin painting, live local music, food trucks, and arts and crafts from local vendors. For more information, visit www.darienlake.com

- The 5th Annual Barley and Books wine and beer tasting event will be held at 2 p.m. to benefit the Byron-Bergen Public Library.
The event will be held at the home of Brian and April Stone, 7777 Swamp Road, Bergen and will feature craft and non-craft beer and wine, live music from Paul J. Cummings, a live auction, raffles and more. This is the fifth year for the event, which has raised close to $30,000 for the library. The funds have paid for updates to the interior of the library, provided additional programing and e-book offerings, new signage and technological upgrades. Featured in the tastings will be product from Stoneyard Brewing Company, North American Breweries, Autumn Moon Farm Winery and more. Harris Wilcox will provide professional auctioneers to conduct a live auction to include items such as a guided tour of the Bergen Swamp, Buffalo Bills game tickets, one-of-a-kind baskets and opportunities, merchandise from local merchants and more.
Sponsors of the event include Bonduelle, Northeast Industrial Technologies, Triple O Mechanical, Insurance Auto Auctions, Liberty Pumps and Northeast Setup Service. The auction begins at 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and available at the Byron-Bergen Public Library and the Bergen and Byron town offices. Tickets are a $25 donation at the door.
