Hi, BJ’s Members who love to save! It’s time for another review! This time I am sharing with you the experience I had with Berkley Jensen Laundry Detergent Pacs.( AKA- BJ’s Brand)
I just so happened to score the Tide Pods a few months ago when we had that awesome $20 P&G BJs credit. I have been using the BJ’s brand detergent pacs for a couple months now so I can give you an honest review.
I decided to cut an old t-shirt in half and draw a smiley face with a marker on the shirt. Just to give us an idea of how each one cleans. I did throw the shirt in with a regular load of laundry as well.
Check out the video and breakdown below or scroll down to read my review.
First, you will have to get a load of laundry. Yes, Bently the mini pig it’s time to move.
I took two shirts and colored a smiley face just to see if they would both be clean after using BJs brand and Tide pods.
The First Victim.
The second victim.
This is what the BJ’s brand pacs look like. With a very light smell.
This is what the Tide Pods Look like. With a typical fresh scent that is much stronger than the BJs brand.
Then you just drop the pods right into your washing machine. These are good for medium sized loads. Even a load that was a bit larger I still used just one pod and it worked fine.
You must put your tabs in FIRST. This is a must with any detergent we use. Our last house we had a front loading washer and I would still put these in first.
I used warm water and the tab dissolved completely. I also did loads with cold water and had no issues with the tabs not dissolving for both brands.
Then just use your normal washing machine settings. Now if you use a fabric softener you may notice more of a fragrance when you use the BJs brand. I use vinegar and it keeps our clothes very soft. I tried fabric softener but just didn’t care for it and prefer to use good old vinegar.
We score that big jug from BJ’s for $3.99!
Both shirts came out just as clean. The entire load was just as clean with the BJs brand pacs as with the Tide Pods.
