- A free reception and artist talk will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the GO ART! Main Gallery by painter Howard A. Barry about his exhibit “Retrospective: Paintings and More.” The exhibit will hang in the Main Gallery and the GO ART! Satellite Gallery in the Genesee County Senior Center. SATURDAY 1/10
- ESSENTIAL OILS CLASS! FREE! During this class we will talk about Young Living essential oils, what they are, how they work, uses for them and testimonials that we have witnessed first hand. If you are looking to improve your families health and overall wellness please join us for a class that will be educational, informative and all around good fun. There will be no selling involved at this class, it will strictly be educational. After the class, anyone who would like to purchase Young Living oils will have that opportunity. - OACS Youth to Youth Presents Wheels for Payton – 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Oakfield-Alabama High School, Oakfield. Spaghetti dinner and basket raffle to benefit OACS student Payton Malloy. Proceeds will benefit to help assist the family to be able to purchase a specialized wheelchair, stair lift and to help cover the cost associated with her medical and travel expenses. - Snow Shoeing at Genesee County Park noon-3 p.m. $5/pair and driver’s license needs to left while renting. For more info go here
SUNDAY 1/11
- American Legion Breakfast – 8 a.m. to noon, Jan. 11 at the American Legion Post #576, 53 West Main St., Le Roy. All you can eat only $7 per person. Includes eggs & omelets cooked to order: toast, biscuits & gravy, bacon, sausage, home fries, pancakes, French toast, waffles & syrup, coffee & juice.
- Genesee Sno-Packers Snowmobile Club are partnering to host the initial “Take a Friend Snowmobiling” event. This will be a great opportunity for new riders and riders who have not been on a sled in years to enjoy a fun and safe snowmobile ride, and it’s an event NYSSA plans to replicate across Upstate New York.
The featured course is specially selected by each local snowmobile club to be appropriate for novice riders. Clubs will organize safety gear for participants to use and sleds will be made available by local dealer partners.
