Costco’s New Military Membership Promotion & How To Sign Up

Currently at Costco, you can sign up with your Military ID for a new Costco membership, or one that expired over 18 months ago.

Using a service called SheerID, you can input all your information, you’ll be redirected to Costco’s website and fill out the membership online.

You must enroll in Auto-Renewal to receive the promotional benefits.

Qualified military members include:

• Active duty, veteran and retired military members
• Spouses of military members
• Dependents of military members

1. Click the “Join Now”
2. On SheerID, enter your status, branch of service, legal first and last name, valid email address, and birth date to confirm your identity. Click the “Next” button.
3. If your information is verified, you will be redirected. Fill out and submit the form for a Costco membership.
4. An email will be sent with a unique Costco Membership Activation Certificate (MAC) bar code.
5. Bring the MAC bar code to any U.S. membership counter to complete the membership purchase and set up auto renewal. Find a Costco near you.

Join Costco as a new member ( Don’t forget auto enroll ) and receive a $30 Costco Shop Card. Available for all members of the United States Armed Forces, veterans and their families.

To qualify for promotional incentives, you must agree to the auto renewal of your Costco membership on a Visa® card at the time of sign-up. If you elect not to sign up for auto renewal, incentives will not be mailed.

Note: If your military credentials are not able to be verified, you will be asked to upload official documentation to SheerID that shows a clear affiliation with the military. After uploading your documentation, you will receive an email confirming your next steps to sign up for a Costco membership.

What is a Costco Shop Card?

A Costco Shop card is a gift card that can be used on Costco.com, Costco Club, or a Costco Gas Station.

When Do I Get It?

The Costco $30 Cash Card will be mailed within 4-6 weeks after you fill out the membership form ONLINE, Then you’ll take your Costco Membership Certification that will be mailed to you, to your local Costco Store at the Counter to activate it.

The Fine Print

Costco Membership Activation Certificates must be purchased online through this promotion. Limit one per household. May not be combined with any other promotion or coupons.

To be eligible for promotion, you must join as a new Costco member. Not valid for a renewal or an existing expired Costco membership.

A Costco membership is $60 a year. An Executive Membership is an additional $60 upgrade fee a year. Each membership also includes one free Household Card.
